The idea is to provide free stock footage for amateur movie makers. The high quality stuff cost a fortune. This site allows members to upload up 5 seconds of video which other members will be able to preview and download for use in their own projects.
We are not trying to compete with the professional stock footage folks... Actually if you are one of those and have some extra clips that aren't selling to well, why not put them here with a link to your top shelf stuff?

When I watch the ‘software’ in TV shows and movies I always point out that it doesn’t really exist or look like that. Then I started wondering “Where does a movie maker get that stuff?” So I made my own. Go ahead blow up the world; War Games Style!

I know some vidcasters like to use Ustream when interviewing guests. This Flash file solves the problem of trying to fit them all on one page. Webmasters can either preload it via an xml file or let your visitors enter their own streams.
